TOWER LOG

Your tower. Your clearances.

Keep DTW moving by guiding departures from gate to runway and clearing arrivals to land. Both views show the same simulation.

Refresh to resume your game. Other players have their own tower; tabs in this browser share yours.

  1. Select a flight on the map or in the flight strips.
  2. Departures: choose a runway, taxi, then clear for takeoff at the holding point. Line up & wait is optional.
  3. Arrivals: clear to land before short final (about 1 NM). Aircraft go around if no landing clearance is issued. While taxiing in, choose a different destination stand and use Taxi to stand to resolve opposing ground traffic.
  4. Watch the runway status. Occupied or reserved runways reject conflicting clearances. Aircraft taxiing back in yield to nearby traffic.

Use heading, altitude, and speed commands for airborne aircraft. These cancel any landing clearance; clear the aircraft to land again to capture its assigned approach. Space pauses the simulation; Escape clears your selection. Adjust traffic flow or time speed in the controls.

Airport geometry is sourced from OpenStreetMap and checked against the FAA diagram. Aircraft, schedules, weather, and procedures are simplified for play. This is not an operational ATC training tool.
